ZOOM USER TIPS

Here are some tips and tricks for getting the most out of your experience:

The ushers on Our Front of the House team are on hand at all events to assist you with detailed guidance.  Feel free to reach out for them using the “Chat” feature.

Zoom Etiquette: Hearing applause and laughter during our shows adds much to the show. You can participate by unmuting your microphone. However you must be in a Quiet space. (sirens, jet planes, crashing dishes, crinkling bags of chips etc.) our staff is quick on the mute button when unexpected noises occur.

Navigating the Event: most functions can be found on the bottom of your zoom window when you are using the zoom app. We make extensive use of the “breakout rooms” and upon entering the event you are given the permission to move yourself into and out of the rooms and galleries we have created. This is accessed through the Breakout Room button on the zoom toolbar (usually on the bottom right of the zoom toolbar at the bottom of the zoom window. at times it may be in the “more” section. Ask an usher for help it can be tricky to find the first time or two. Private interactions with others are available in the breakout rooms labeled for private chat.

Viewing options: speaker view gives you a highlight of the folks in the spotlight, gallery view lets you see the audience as well as the spotlight. it is your personal taste that determines which you prefer.

We recommend that you update your zoom app frequently as improvements rollout often which give you more capabilities.

Watch this page as we will be adding short video tutorials to help orient you to the experience.

We look forward to seeing and sharing with you.
